Isle Lamont, VT Basement
This basement was seaping both ground water through the floor and surface water through the walls. Located just 100 feet away from Lake Champlain with seasonal lake level at least four feet above the basement floor. The first step was to grind off all the existing failed coatings and expose the pourous concrete surfaces. The basement then was thuroughly dried. Then a primer coat of Dura-Flex SF was applied. Dura-Lastic mixed with Dura-Lastic Gel was used to seal the floor and wall cracks, voids, and vertical/horizontal cold joints. Two more coats of Dura-Flex SF were then applied. Because of the old condition of the floor a thick Dura-Lastic membrane was applied to the floor and top coated with Dura-Flex SF once again. Sump system was also installed to relieve negative hydrostatic pressure.
